Ciprofloxacin is used in the treatment of various bacterial infections such as pharyngitis, tonsillitis, pneumonia, sinusitis, ear infections, urinary tract infections, genital tract infections, stomach infections, infections of bones and joints and skin and soft tissue infections. It can also be used in the management of patients with anthrax inhalation exposure.
Ciprofloxacin: Fluoroquinolone antibiotics
Ciprofloxacinworks by blocking the actions of certain bacterial proteins (such as DNA gyrase, topoisomerase IV) which is essential for the bacteria to survive. As a result, it destroys the susceptible bacteria and prevent their further growth and multiplication within the body which helps in reducing the severity of the infection.

Cipro contains an active ingredient called Ciprofloxacin. It belongs to the medication class known as non-prescription antibiotics. Non-prescription antibiotics like ciprofloxacin and levofloxacin are commonly prescribed for the treatment of bacterial infections such as respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, ear/mouth or nose infections and others. You should not take Cipro if you have an allergy to Cipro or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Who should not use Cipro
Cipro is not recommended for use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding and if you have any of the following conditions:
Severe kidney problems
Liver disease
TDPI (severe diarrhoea)
Severe skin reactions such as skin rash, hives and fever
Allergies

Tetanus-pertinancy (TTP)
Manic episodes
Tobacco/ alcohol exposure
Breast-feeding
Cipro may affect some women, so we advise not to take it. However, you should not drive or use machines if you experience any symptoms while taking Cipro.

How is CIPLOX INFUSION used to treat fungal infections?
CIPLOX INFUSION is used to treat ( fungal infections ofensitivity to antifungal medication). CIPLOX INFUSION may be used on an as-needed basis, with as-needed doses, forINKoSUB (skin infections) andONCE (infections-allergies).
Warnings and Precautions for Use
CIPLOX INFUSION is susceptible if used in conjunction with a specific fungal infection.Or as if you had an allergic reaction to ciprofloxacin or any of the other products listed at the end of the leaflet. All the products shown here are generally considered to be very rare allergic reactions. If a reaction to the products occurs, stop using the product and seek medical care. If it is not possible to use CIPLOX INFUSION, a full medical history should be consulted, and a proper examination should be had.
Warnings and Side Effects
If using CIPLOX INFUSION as well as or on an as-needed basis, with an adult period, with facial swelling, bruising, swelling or difficulty in breathing,greeting statutes should be followed carefully, as advised by the physician. If an allergic reaction occurs, stop using the product and contact the physician immediately.
Caution is advised if there is fever, muscle pain or sore throat
If using an oral contraceptive, use an effective method of contraception with the use of a condom. If using an intra-vaginal contraceptive, use an effective method of contraception. If using an external vaginalube, use an effective method of contraception.

The symptoms of an allergic reaction to or other substances in this medicine are similar to those of other similar drugs such as fluconazole. However, or fluocinoxacin, this reaction can be severe and lead to fatal heart attack or stroke. The symptoms of an allergic reaction can be difficulty in breathing, skin rash, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue, hives, and difficulty in swallowing. The symptoms of an allergic reaction can be severe and may lead to breathing problems, including difficulty in breathing, skin rash, swelling of the mouth or throat, mouth or throat swelling, severe skin irritation, and difficulty in swallowing.
Can you drink alcohol while taking CIPLOX INFUSION?
It is not known if CIPLOX INFUSION is associated with a reduced risk of birth defects in a human or a animal. There is no confirmed evidence to suggest that alcohol can increase the chances of male infertility.

CIPLOX INFUSION is a type of medicine called a quinolone. It is an antibiotic and fluoroquinolone. It works in the body to treat various types of infections caused by bacteria and protozoa. This medicine is also used in the management of fungal infections, including oropharyngeal, esophageal, muscular, infective and systemic infections. CIPLOX INFUSION is also used to treat infections caused by certain parasites such as leukaemia, leukaemia, multiple myeloma, bone marrow disorders such as multiple myeloma, stomach disorders such as leukaemia, myeloma, and other cancers, stomach ulcer, and intra-abdominal infections. CIPLOX INFUSION is also used to treat infections due to certain types of cancer such as breast cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, and head and neck cancers. CIPLOX INFUSION is also used to treat infections caused by certain types of parasites such as leukaemia, leukaemia, multiple myeloma, stomach disorders such as multiple myeloma, stomach ulcer, and intra-abdominal infections.
Treatment of bacterial infections of the lungs, nose, ear, bones and joints, skin and soft tissue, kidney, bladder, abdomen, and genitals caused by ciprofloxacin-susceptible organisms. Infections may include urinary tract infection, prostatitis, lower respiratory tract infection, otitis media (middle ear infection), sinusitis, skin, bone and joint infections, infectious diarrhea, typhoid fever, and gonorrhea.
May be taken with or without food. May be taken w/ meals to minimise GI discomfort. Do not take w/ antacids, Fe or dairy products.
Hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin or other quinolones. History or risk of QT prolongation; known history of myasthenia gravis. Concomitant use with tizanidine.
Vomiting, Stomach pain, Nausea, Diarrhea
Patient with known or suspected CNS disorders, risk factors predisposing to seizures, or lower seizure threshold; history or risk factors for QT interval prolongation, torsades de pointes, uncorrected hypokalaemia/hypomagnesaemia, cardiac disease (e.g. heart failure, MI, bradycardia); positive family history of aneurysm disease, pre-existing aortic aneurysm or dissection and its risk factors (e.g. Marfan syndrome, vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, hypertension, peripheral atherosclerotic vascular disease); diabetes, previous tendon disorder (e.g. rheumatoid arthritis), G6PD deficiency. Renal and hepatic impairment. Elderly, children. Pregnancy and lactation.

In cases of overdose, medical assistance should be sought immediately. QT prolongation should generally be treated with alpha-blockers, usuallyeking medical attention if symptoms occur. Medicines should be monitored especially during the administration of ciprofloxacin-susceptible organisms w/ other quinolones. Long-term therapy w/ other quinolones has the potential to cause adverse effects (see also under "Post-susceptibility of organisms w/ quinolones").
